E-RYT 50, C-IAYT

Stress management and caring for your health have been part of my life for over 30 years. It has been with me since starting as a nursing assistant, through a 14-year career as a nurse, as a yoga teacher and as a Yoga Health coach to work more on preventing illness and dis-ease.

Through my work with yoga, I have found ways of dealing with depression, self-doubt, and anxiety. The simple process of noticing when these issues come up begins the process of overcoming. Ignoring things does not work but finding simple ways to care for your body and balance out the thoughts of the mind can improve your life. Yoga, in all its forms, can go a long way in finding ways to deal with all the things we are confronted with day by day.

“It’s amazing how taking just a few moments I can feel totally relaxed. I look forward to incorporating the various movements you shared throughout my day as I Press Pause. Thanks for a great challenge.”

“This was an amazing challenge. You’ve addressed so many things that I’m doing/going through at this time, I don’t feel so out there by myself. All the exercises don’t take long at all, and are all so doable. Thanks so much Carol, Namaste.”
Sue Paradise

“Just simply putting out my clothes for the next day helps and it’s such a basic thing that takes no time at all but makes the morning run smooth.”
Karen Budd

“I love that your exercises help us to compensate for what daily life brings us- like being stuck at a desk and in front of a computer. I would rather be hiking trains, but haven’t found a way to make that pay the bills. So in the meantime, I am enjoying your exercises which give my shoulders a rest, work my wrists and now, help my eyes reduce strain.”

Debbie Lewis

“Yes, it does seem easier to focus on anything we feel we’re not doing well or any failures or mistakes. Re framing that thinking may be a lifetime of work. I appreciate the program you’ve put together. Just spending some time thinking about these issues is helpful and your worksheets will help to continue. I will definitely think about following up with your courses. Thank you.”

“My very first yoga class was with Carol Confino. It was a birthday gift from my daughter and who knew that it would change my life! I have been attending Carol’s classes for 13 years now! Her classes are not only instructive, but also fun. I am a retired senior now and the fact that Carol’s classes stress how the body functions is really important to me. I’ve seen improvement in my flexibility, balance, and strength. And most importantly, I still look forward to each class!”

“I have been trying a low histamine diet for the past 4 months and I am bored with my options. I have only been steaming my veggies so you helped me think about roasting my veggies and adding in some new options I might have not tried before. Thanks Carol!”
